Running an AI tool counts the words you submit toward that tool’s allowance, regardless of page or paragraph count. PDF import reads selectable text; it does not check the file for tampering.

How to paraphrase a paragraph

  1. Choose a complete thought

Paste a paragraph with enough context to understand its purpose. Keep an original copy, including the source if you are working from someone else’s writing.

  2. Set your preferred wording

Choose the available tone and target length in the editor. These guide the request; they do not replace checking whether the returned text fits your reader.

  3. Compare the two versions

Read the proposal against your original. Keep the same people, dates, amounts, qualifications and conclusions. Edit any sentence that changes the meaning before copying it.

A paraphrase that keeps the important details

Editorial example — a project update

Before

Due to the fact that two interviews have not yet been completed, the team expects to submit the report on Thursday, provided that the remaining participants respond by Tuesday.

After

Two interviews are still outstanding. The team expects to submit the report on Thursday if the remaining participants respond by Tuesday.

The revision splits one long sentence into two. It keeps both the expected delivery date and its condition. This example illustrates a review method, not a guaranteed tool output.

Use a paraphrase for the right task

For a client email, remove indirect phrases so the request is easier to follow. For a report, explain a dense paragraph in wording your audience understands. For study notes, restate an idea from memory, then compare it with the source to check your understanding.

Paraphrasing keeps the idea while changing its expression. Summarizing selects the main ideas and leaves out detail. Humanizing focuses on how natural and appropriate the writing sounds. Choose the operation that matches the problem rather than repeatedly rewriting a passage that is already clear.

Questions about paraphraser

Is the paraphraser included in the free trial?

Paraphrasing and summarizing are included from Starter and share one monthly word allowance. The one-time free trial is for humanization, not paraphrasing. Check the pricing page for current availability.

Will a paraphrase always preserve the meaning?

No. A suggested rewrite can lose an exception, strengthen a claim or alter a detail. Compare the original and result before accepting it; a fluent sentence can still be inaccurate.

Can paraphrasing remove plagiarism?

A rewrite does not settle attribution. If you use someone else’s idea, cite the source as required. If exact wording matters, quote it accurately instead of disguising it with synonyms.
