A starting point
Get the model result and consider it in the context of your document.
Room to review
Check the sources, facts and relevance to your reader.
Your judgment matters
A detector provides a signal. It cannot certify who wrote a text or how good it is.
How to analyze a text with Check AI
Choose a coherent passage
Start with a coherent passage of at least 30 words. At least 200 words is recommended for context. The editor displays the character and word limits for your plan.
Run a detection
Open the detector in your account and paste your text. A successful analysis uses words from your detection allowance.
Interpret the result
Read the model signals alongside their limitations. Compare them with your knowledge of the subject, the sources and the drafting process.
What the result tells you — and its limits
A detector classifies a text using patterns its model has learned. It cannot recover the drafting history or see who wrote each sentence. A high result does not establish the intentions of the author.
Two errors are possible: flagging human writing or missing AI-generated writing. The length, language, subject and edits can affect the result. The minimum input length accepted by the tool does not guarantee reliability.
A tool for your editorial workflow
AI detection is different from plagiarism checking. Human writing can reproduce a source without attribution, while AI-assisted writing can cite its sources correctly. These checks answer different questions.
- Freelancers: prepare a draft for review, then check your examples, arguments and client requirements.
- Agencies: use the analysis to support a discussion in your review process, with shared quality criteria.
- Content managers: complement your checks of facts, links and tone before publishing.
What we have tested, and what it does not prove
On 1 November 2026, we checked the real detection and humanization API in our test environment using a 30-word input for each operation. Both requests completed successfully. Repeating each request with its original identifier returned the saved result.
| Observed result | What it tells us |
|---|---|
| Detection returned a result for the test input. | The integration processed that request; this does not measure detection accuracy. |
| Humanization returned rewritten text. | A result was delivered; its meaning and quality still require review. |
| Repeating the same request returned the saved result. | The tested repeat path reused the result. This does not validate every failure scenario. |
Your questions
Before you get started.
Is the AI detector free?
AI detection requires a paid plan, starting with Starter. Creating an account does not run or charge for an analysis.
Can you detect ChatGPT with certainty?
No. A detector can identify signals associated with generated writing, but it cannot prove that a particular tool, such as ChatGPT, was used. False positives and false negatives remain possible.
Can I analyze a text in French?
You can submit French text. Reliability depends on the model, language and type of document. Check AI does not publish a French-specific accuracy rate without a representative evaluation.
Do my texts stay in my browser?
No. AI detection sends the text you submit to external AI processing services. Your text and completed results are saved privately in your account and can be reopened in History. Provider and retention details are available in the workspace privacy information. Share only text you are authorized to send for processing.
